C239 M38 camo paratrooper helmet
A recently found out of the woodworks camo helmet. It was found in the Netherlands and belonged to a group of 11 fallschirmjager who surrendered to some Dutch civilians. The uniform of this particular fallschirmjager was burned by a Dutch couple who let the man stay at their house but saved some( personal) belongings among them his agenda a map case and this helmet. The helmet has one period replaced screw which is not uncommon and can be noticed on other para helmets as well. Part of the chinstraps are missing. The guy made it back to Sudetenland where he came from and wrote years after the war a postcard to that Dutch family to thank them again for what they did for him.
