ORIGINAL HELMET PARTS

Here you will find a selection of original helmet parts. Generally either liners or chinstraps. Each of these bears my 100% guarantee of originality.

Item 210 Original M31 chinstrap, 1939

This one still has a very faint 1939 date. But you have to look at it in the right angle. The leather is a bit stiff in places but overall it is sound and will attach to your M35 helmet with no problems. The hardware is aluminum. SOLD

Item 211 Original early/pre-war M31 chinstrap

This one is in better shape than #210. The leather is completely pliable with no issues. Aluminum hardware but no date on the end of the strap. (None that I can see; although I believe it is a Rahm-Kampmann produced strap) This one would fit the bill for any decent M35 helmet. SOLD

Item 212 Original German M16 chinstrap; pre-1918

This is an early style strap with brass hardware. Likely mde in 1916 or early 1917 when they switched to steel hardware. The leather has two repairs. One along the near center of the strap and one in the bend where the leather goes through the M91 chinstrap hook. Sewing is intact at the buckles. Overall it is in mediocre condition and certainly you cannot hang the helmet from this strap in your bunker. Bt it will attach to a helmet for display. Original M16 straps are infamously tough to find in any condition. I would price a nice one at three hundred dollars or more.  SOLD

Item 214 Original early/pre-war liner assembly, 1939

This is the type of liner that if you need one, you are generally out of luck. But not today! This is a complete liner assembly for a size 64 M35. It could even be used in an early M40 helmet. The leather is completely sound and pliable. Shows moderate wear and still has it’s original drawstring. (I believe it has not been untied since the war). Made by everybodies favorite liner maker; F.W. Muller. $350.00ON HOLD
