ORIGINAL HELMET PARTS

Here you will find a selection of original helmet parts. Generally either liners or chinstraps. Each of these bears my 100% guarantee of originality.

Item 211 Original M16 chinstrap

These really do not come around very often anymore. This is a completely intact M16 chinstrap with steel hardware; meaning it is likely from 1917-1918. All matching hardware and with intact hand-stitching. No markings which is almost always the case. No repairs or weak spots. The leather is certainly strong enough for display but at over 100 years old; don’t attempt to hand your helmet from it. SOLD

Item 210 Original wartime M31 chinstrap

A sound all original M31 chinstrap made by Rahm Kampmann, Wuppertal. The date is not visible but is most likely 1941. Intact stitching and reasonably pliable leather with no dry-rot. Has some corrosion to the end studs but that would clean up if it is your inclination. SOLD

Item 210 Original M16 chinstrap

These really do not come around very often. This is a 100% original example of an M16 chinstrap. Sound leather and intact stitching. Matching steel hardware indicates likely 1917-1918 production. SOLD

Item 209 Original early/pre-war liner assembly, 1937

This is the type ( and size) of liner that if you need one, you are generally out of luck. But not today! This is a complete liner assembly for a size 68 M35. The leather is completely sound and pliable. Shows moderate wear and still has it’s original drawstring. (I believe it has not been untied since the war). Made by everybodies favorite liner maker; Werner Zahn of Charlottenburg. SOLD

Sorry; no other original parts today. These are hard times for finding helmet parts.
