My Taste in Japanese helmets is a lot like my tastes in other helmets. Nothing really rare and exotic. Just good clean examples of basic types

This one was made during the Showa year 15 (1940). It has the first pattern cloth cover and a maker/date stamp on the rear of the front liner pad.

The liner of this helmet is a variant that was only made in 1942.Each pad is made from 3 separate sections of pigskin. The net is the standard army issue type with the strands dawn together at the top.

This is a late war example which has a 19 year of Showa date on the front pad. The cover is the second model with a reinforcment around the rum.
